Choosing the Right Keratin Hair Extensions
Choosing the Right Keratin Hair Extensions
her flow keratin extensions use one precisely engineered bond, so there's no guesswork about sizing — only about the shade, length, and amount that are right for you. Here's how to get all three right.
her flow keratin — a bond so discreet it disappears into your own hair.
What You're Choosing
her flow keratin extensions are 100% Remy human hair, pre-tipped with a single, precisely sized keratin bond (0.7 × 0.6 cm). Because every strand uses the same bond, you're not choosing between bond sizes — every strand fuses just as discreetly at the root, no matter which shade or length you pick. That means your only real decisions are color, length, and how many packages to order — covered below.
Each strand is individually tipped and sold 25 strands to a package (25 g), regardless of length.
Picking Your Shade
her flow keratin comes in natural numbered shades, cool greys, rooted and balayage finishes, and ombre blends — 24 shades at 40 cm. Here's a look at some of the most popular:
1B — Natural Black
4 — Brown
8 — Light Brown
14 — Dark Blonde
24 — Light Blonde
613 — Lightest Blonde
Platinum
Rooted Blonde
Rooted Brown Balayage
8/22 Ombre
Picking Your Length
40 cm
The full 24-shade range. Best if your natural hair sits at a medium length and you want the widest color choice, including rooted, balayage and ombre finishes.
50 cm
A curated 10-shade range. Best for longer natural hair, where a bigger length gain is needed to blend seamlessly.
As a rule of thumb, keep the difference between your natural hair length and the extension length under about 35–40 cm — a bigger jump makes the transition point more visible.
Because the bond sits so close to the scalp, a well-matched length and shade is what makes it disappear completely into your natural hair — no visible line, no obvious transition point.
Mixing Lengths & Shades for a More Natural Result
You don't have to pick one single length and one single shade. Combining a couple of each is a simple way to get a fuller, more three-dimensional result — and it's exactly what gives extensions that soft, undone look rather than one flat, uniform layer.
Combine two lengths
Mix 40 cm and 50 cm strands in the same install instead of ordering only one length. The shorter strands sit closer to your natural hairline and blend the transition, while the longer ones build the silhouette — so the finished style needs little more than a light, cosmetic trim to merge with your own hair, rather than heavy cutting straight out of the package.
Combine 2–3 shades
Natural hair is almost never one flat color. Blending two or three closely related shades — for example your base shade plus one a little lighter and/or a little darker — recreates that natural depth and dimension, and makes it far easier to match your own hair convincingly than hunting for a single "perfect" shade.
How Many Packages Do You Need?
| Goal | Hair needed | Packages (25 g each) |
|---|---|---|
| Thickening — add volume only | 50–100 g | 2–4 packages |
| Full extension — length and volume | 100–150 g | 4–6 packages |
Each package holds 25 strands at 1 g per strand (25 g total), whichever length you choose. Fine hair typically needs fewer, thicker natural hair typically needs more, within these ranges. When mixing two lengths or several shades, split your total package count across them rather than buying the full amount in each.
