Shipping & Customs Information for U.S. Orders
At Extensions Hair Shop, we are delighted to deliver our premium products straight to your doorstep in the United States! To make sure the entire shipping experience is as smooth and transparent as possible, here is a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know about shipping, taxes, customs duties, and returns.
1. Import duties, taxes & fees
Since our warehouse is located in Poland and your order will be shipped internationally, certain import fees may apply when your package arrives in the United States. These fees are set by U.S. Customs and are not included in the total at checkout. The key factors determining these charges are:
- the country where the product is made affects customs charges,
- certain goods may be taxed at different rates,
- the U.S. customs system and its policies change regularly.
Who bears the cost of customs fees?
Please note that the customer is responsible for paying any import duties, taxes, or additional charges when the order arrives. These fees are collected directly by the courier service at the time of delivery.
2. How customs charges are calculated?
Recent updates to U.S. regulations now impose additional fees on products made in China, even when they are shipped from other countries like Poland.
You will find the country of origin of the goods next to each product under “SAFETY INFORMATION”.
Some couriers may also charge additional brokerage fees for managing the customs process on your behalf.
We recommend reaching out to your local U.S. customs office for more precise and up-to-date information regarding any customs duties that may apply to your order.
3. U.S. VAT (Sales Tax)
Since you're shopping from the U.S., you won’t be charged VAT (Value Added Tax) on your order. The price you see on our website is exclusive of VAT.
4. Estimated delivery times
We aim to ship out all orders as swiftly as possible. Here are the details:
Estimated delivery time is 4 to 21 working days.
Please note that while we work hard to ensure timely deliveries, there can sometimes be delays, especially if the package is held up by customs. If you see "Held at Customs" in your tracking information, don’t worry — just check your email for any updates from the courier, or contact them directly.
5. What’s included in your checkout?
At checkout, you’ll pay for:
- ordered products,
- shipping costs.
However, any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees will not be included. These charges will be handled directly by the courier when your package reaches the U.S.
6. Returns & refunds
If you need to return an item, please note that you will be responsible for the cost of shipping it back to us. Customs duties and taxes paid on your order are non-refundable, so if you decide to return your purchase after paying customs fees, those charges cannot be refunded through us.
Important: If you refuse to accept a delivery due to unexpected customs charges, you’ll still be responsible for the return shipping costs, as well as any additional fees for handling.
